Information for Members
New members
We always welcome new members, both young and old. If you are considering joining us, please contact our membership secretary, Heather Tomlinson, on 01768 891870, or just turn up to our rehearsals and chat to us.
Rehearsals
Penrith Singers rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 pm until 9.30 pm in St Andrew's Church, Penrith.
The rehearsals are September to December and January to May each year, excluding school holidays (half-term, Christmas and Easter holidays).
To maintain the high standard performances of the choir, members are required to regularly attend 75% of rehearsals if wishing to sing in that term's concert.
Membership fees
Choir membership fees may either be paid on an annual or termly basis.
If you are under 25, you may be entitled to one of our student bursaries with waived membership fees. Please see our Young Singers page for more information.
Scores
Copies of the term's music are available to hire at the start of a term for a small fee. Members are welcome to bring along their own scores if they own them.
For those wishing to purchase scores through the choir, we are able to order brand-new copies on behalf of members if purchased in advance of the term.
